They aren't that big :/
The only thing actually any type of armored would be the feet, head, and torso. Everything else is like normal clothing. But I guess that they would be good for torso protection and all.

Red and Green were the original Japanese games. Then they came out with Blue and Red as updated versions, and released those internationally. Then Yellow became the "third" (fourth in Japan, sort of fifth, really). FireRed and LeafGreen were just the third Gen remakes.
