I remember that, a few of my friends got banned along with him.
From what I was told, it was a brony posting pony content on an undesired unponyfilled topic, and a bunch of users taking serious offense to it, and telling the brony to take its art and GTFO.

They illegedly got banned for trolling. (Don't get me wrong, I really do not like Lord Tony, but...) Which strikes me as stupid on the grounds that the blockland forums have never actually given much of a crap about trolling before, except apparently in this one case against a brony. The results of this were that the brony declared himself a "savior of the forums" for getting Tony banned. If I were Badspot, I'd have also banned him as well.

Whatever the case, ignorance is bliss.

The forums are not a democracy, it is a limited government where the community has almost no say.

most of the stuff with people posting pony outside of the thread, since about after the first mlp megathread, has been newer posters who don't hang out in off topic

it's all in the past so unless you like looking up old topics and reading lots of pages or asking someone who knows more than I do on it I really can't help you
