I know, well I should have specified. In a revolver it wouldn't really work like that so well I wouldn't think having to do with how the gun works and bullet placement.

Anyways, the revolvers chamber is more exposed so I thought that maybe it'd emit the sound there instead of it coming out of the barrel.

not for the bullet that is currently in the barrel area. sound goes out the same place the light and smoke does, and by that I mean the end of the barrel

I dunno anymore, I'll have to take another look at a revolver for myself to see.

Sound is not channeled like the bullet or the gas. Sound appears in various places of a handgun which combines to create what we call the "bang". Putting a suppressor on a revolver does it make it quieter, but only isolates a separate source i.e. the gas rushing out of the barrel. The cylinder creates it's own sound, and also has gas escaping through the sides the sound resonates from the back of the shell casing and out various places. Thus making a silencer on a revolver, less effective than a closed bolt system.

which is ok, bc suppressors look dumb on revolvers anyway
