Meh, I want to learn more about US History.

1 - Homework is a reminder. They wouldn't need to slack off because it would be EASY if they PAID ATTENTION IN CLASS.

2 - I do think homework is quite obsolete. Digital homework would be much more efficient, infact I believe writing is a waste of lead and paper.

3 - Quite a few BRIGHT teenagers know more about modern technology then their teachers and elders. So although they should respect them, elders shouldn't be so stubborn and act like they are loving geniuses.

4 - I'm not discouraging elder respect, due to the fact that they got us this far.... in a way.

5 - It's barely the youth's fault. It's ignorant parents and an ignorant school system. Ignorant school system - drugs get to kids. Ignorant parents - everything else.

not that, just so much homework in that class.

I don't care enough to do my homework, stop being a nerd and get over it.

I do agree strongly about the disrespect for older people, I see it everywhere and I get enraged easily, for some reason I feel very strongly about it.

1 - I agree, they would do it if they actually pay attention.
2 - Digital homework is both good and bad. Good because many people now have computers and can op to it. Bad because it would prevent the kids who don't have computers from doing their homework, it would also single them out from the others.
3 - Elders still should be respected no matter how stubborn they can be, and elders are very intelligent and wise. Most of their intelligence comes from experience though.
4 - True... true.
5 - Yes, but it goes both ways, the parents may not be able to keep their kid under control simply because the kid is just that way.

My school does random drug tests :I

100% agree. Kids are so freaking dumb and immature now days. Personally, I blame the parents.

I recommend toughing it out and going to collage, by that time everyone who doesn't care about school is working in a burger king or whatever. Just don't get too caught up in the party culture or you'll get kicked out for not keeping your grades up or whatever.

People say nerds will be your boss, it's also likely that I become their boss. I'm going into media and entertainment, so I could be the boss of a "nerd."

Personally I think it's because parents are getting younger and don't have as much experience to teach their kid properly.

But that's just imo.

Kid at my school thought it would be a good idea to do this:

Him: Hey! come smell my weed!
Other kid: Okay!
Teacher: Go to the office.

Not doing homework IS disrespecting older people. Teachers spend a lot of time preparing work and grading papers and you just say "screw it"? Sounds pretty disrespectful to me.
I am helping them out and giving them less work to do so they can have a nice break ;)
