Author Topic: Kids these days... (Aka, What has society done?)  (Read 1650 times)

Alright, I'm going to rant for a bit, and if you don't like rants or you aren't going to respect the opinions of me or others then please do us a favor and leave.

I'm really disappointed in kids these days.

Why?

Well, mostly because they don't care about anything anymore,

This reason pisses me off the most. Each and every day I go to integrated algebra (The easiest algebra class you will take). Each day I have to hear why the students don't turn in their homework. Majority of the students say they "don't care". What type of excuse is that? Saying that you don't care is literally crying "I'm lazy and I don't care about stuff...". 50% of the class never or rarely turns in homework. <= 50% Never pass on their tests. Our teacher can never give us lessons because too many people are talking. If she scolds them, they keep going on with their conversation as if nothing happened. It is like this with all of my other classes. My education is being ruined by these people, and we can't do anything about it.
Sometimes I like to share an theory or a opinion, but since everyone has to be better than me, they say, "No one cares about your opinion" or "Shut the forget up, [my name]". I swear that no respect for others is on everyone's agenda now and days. No one even cares about dangers of certain substances in my school. > 50% sell, use, or abuse a drug like substance. Another example of this reason is no respect for parents and elders. Very little people in my class respect adults, hence why they talk in class. Either it's just me or adults have lost grip on adolescents and children. Each time I see someone breaking a rule in the hallway some teacher verbally punishes them (which never works) or they don't do anything about it. It is the same way with the dress code, the adults can't enforce it. I feel really bad for all of the teachers who have to take this stuff each and every day. All of this happens, because modern adolescents/kids don't care.
(I may add to this so keep and eye on it)

That's pretty much why I'm pissed off/disappointed in a nutshell.

Move to somewhere other than the Ghetto.

Stop taking the easy classes, that's where most of the slackers are.

Move to somewhere other than the Ghetto.

I'm in the country, it is the same in the suburbs. I can't escape it.

Stop taling the easy classes, that's where most of the slackers are.

I'm in 9th grade, I'm in all of the base classes.

Schools should exclude them.

Schools should exclude them.

I said the same thing but, the teachers and the principal disagree because it would "make us loose funding".

I don't care enough to do my homework, stop being a nerd and get over it.

I do agree strongly about the disrespect for older people, I see it everywhere and I get enraged easily, for some reason I feel very strongly about it.

Another topic about how other kids have failed to meet the standards of another kid who then makes a topic to complain about how disappointed he is.

Dohohoho... bashing the nerds. They might become your boss one day.

Good, it's great to see one person actually care about the older generations.

I'm sorry, but I was raised by my parents to believe that everyone should respect each other without question.

Not doing homework IS disrespecting older people. Teachers spend a lot of time preparing work and grading papers and you just say "screw it"? Sounds pretty disrespectful to me.

yeah, you're in the re-re math class, what do you expect? quit licking windows and take actual classes.

I love listening to why people didn't bring in their homework so I can rant on at them which makes me feel good :D
Also I get this "shut up" thing at my school all the time, it's not just you :C

i'm 100% positive if you talked to your counselor and made some bullstuff excuse about how the lack of effort in the class makes you uninspired to work or whatever they'd move you.
