Author Topic: Can somebody suggest to me a good video editor?  (Read 929 times)

I run a very small channel on YouTube, and I feel unprofessional when I use Windows Movie Maker to edit my videos... Sadly, I dont have the money, or a reason to purchase Sony Vegas, or something like that. So can one of you suggest me a free, good, video editor?
Thanks :)

If you're looking for something free without pirating, I doubt you'll get anything much better than windows movie maker. Besides, what do you really need to do that you can't do with windows movie maker?

Google that and this topic is the only result.

I use AVS Video Editor.
It's like 40 bucks I think...

If you have a Mac and don't mind torrenting you can grab a copy of iMovie 6 HD.

That program was way ahead of its time and I've been using it since 2006 exclusively to edit my videos. It is very powerful and versatile and its hard to believe it is six years old.

It is free. But Apple didn't want people having it anymore so finding it online is a pain.

The bonus to that is you can run it on a lot of older Mac computers. If anybody you know has an old iMac G3 kicking around it could run from that smoothly.

If you have a newer Mac, FinalCut is amazing.

I snip posts longer than five lines.  It's my policy.

That'd be nice to try. It looks great.

But its not free. Far from it. :P

Even though I'm an avid windows user, I have to admit final cut is probably the best piece of video software I've used, not really worth the money unless you're using it in a professional context though.
