Author Topic: FULL LIFE CONSEQUENCES 2: NEED HELP FLIPPING MOTORCYCLE  (Read 1021 times)

Hey guys, Jurttu and I have been working on the Blockland iteration for Half-Life: Full Life Consequences 2 (the sequel to our previous remake) and were stumped at this scene in particular

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8yHguvYYyQ&feature=player_detailpage#t=139s

we're using a sized up three-wheeler for the other more faster motorcycle that had gas in it this time.

The issue is finding a way to do that backflip in any way shape or form. I'm okay with glitchy reworkings of the physics of the three-wheeler to match that of another vehicle, but so far I've not found something that can imitate what's going on in the video. Any suggestions as to what I could do?

Not just physics alterations, but anything, really. Anything you guys think would help imitate that scene is welcomed.

Make a loop ramp, make it invisible, alter the vehicle to have enough speed.
Or just edit it in.

Wait, do what ? said, but make the vehicle like the gravity jeep and put a greenscreen behind it, record it going around in a full loop, then edit into the video.

Sounds like a good idea, but Blockland doesn't properly support a green screen effect.

Take some print bricks, paint them bright green, apply a space for a print?

Well, yeah, I guess.

crop out the background of an image of the 3-wheeler and use video editing to gooffily flip it

Sorry I can't come

I'm working on Hl3

Yeah and 1111 post

Couldn't you use the gmod blockhead models?

Make a loop ramp, make it invisible, alter the vehicle to have enough speed.
Or just edit it in.
Doesn't work. Tried it before in the last video. If you've seen the bloopers, you'll notice how much I hate ramps.

That's an interesting idea. Do you mean recording it while spying it while it goes around in a full literal vertical loop? O

I need to see if Jurttu or []----[] can do the video editing with that. Don't think I have the software to do that part myself.

Change the model of a plane to a jeep, suspend it in the air, roll while inside it, facing the camera.

You sure that works? Don't they curve their angles of movement rather than flip in movement?

planes tend to get up in the peek of it and fall...

yeah that doesn't sound exactly like a spin of pitch that retains momentum

Greenscreen sounds like the best idea so far. You could also do an invisible ramp loop and do vehicle loops.
