What really pisses me off is how they replaced every single amulet with a stuffty one. So I basically spent 11k fame on just one. (My first amulet ever)

They will spray you with 5 60 damage dealing shots from each of the 5 eyes that spawn.

but how do you actually gain levels, the last time i tried playing this game i made it to the highest level and then couldn't get fame for stuff.

You gain fame by killing monsters. (Gods in the godlands, dungeons etc.) also dungeon monsters, You can also leech fame by staying near the deaths of slain monsters,
