Personally, I'd like to see that, but the era of the avatar stretches WAY back.  The war would be with swords and stuff and, unfortunately, it is a kids' show so you really can't show the maiming...

it's about Korra, so it's not going to be far off from where Season One ended anyway
story one = Amon threat, story two = ??? threat

Maybe korra will have to learn more about each element. Maybe she only got back her bending ability but will have to re-learn it all.
