Ass Sas Sin
the origins of the word come from a old Greek story where there was a sassy donkey that always sinned a lot thus got punished by the gods and had to always keep its body covered in layers of clothing to hide its identity and one day it became mad at the gods and starting killing people in their sleep. Later on others saw that it was a genius plan to strike when their enemy least expects it so they all imitated what the sassy donkey did and that's the origins.

Quote
The Assassins (Persian/Arabic: حشاشين Ḥashshāshīn, also Hashishin, Hassassin, or Hashashiyyin) were an order of Nizari Ismailis, particularly those of Persia (and Syria) that existed from around 1092 to 1275. Posing a strong military threat to Sunni Saljuq authority within the Persian territories, the Nizari Ismailis captured and inhabited many mountain fortresses under the leadership of Hassan-i Sabbah. The modern word 'assassin' is derived from their name.
The name 'Assassin' is often said to derive from the Arabic Hashishin or "users of hashish",[1] to have been originally derogatory and used by their adversaries during the Middle Ages. However Amin Malouf states that "The truth is different. According to texts that have come down to us from Alamut, Hassan-i Sabbah liked to call his disciples Asasiyun, meaning people who are faithful to the Asās, meaning 'foundation' of the faith. This is the word, misunderstood by foreign travelers, that seemed similar to 'hashish'".
