Author Topic: Pac Man - "my problems are yours and should be fixed now"  (Read 1852 times)

I used to run Blockland on a potato with a pork chop for a proccesor. I didn't lag to the point I had to bitch bout it. I just hit the pretty disconnect button.

Now I got a 500-1000$ computer that i'm borrowing. It is epic.

my computer costed 670 and it runs everything almost perfect except for Skyrim, but I had a HD Radeon 6570 series.

My cumputer runs everything I have tried so far on full graphics and it's pretty old actually.

have**

your laptop is horrible and a 400 dollar desktop could run fraps fine
Mainly because my laptop is made to run everything perfectly perfect besides gaming.

My laptop is not made for gaming, it's made for like working on lots of documents and stuff.

I had to adjust the keyboard controls by myself because the keyboard was made so you don't forget up while typing or doing other stuff.

noedit: In other words, you can't operate the mouse for like 1.5 seconds after you click a key on the keyboard. That way the mouse doesn't click on something else while you type.

which makes gameplay super hard

ok so I'll admit at ~4000 Laser A emitters (16 16x16 baseplates covered in 1x1 bricks), my game drops to 10 FPS. This is with particle quality set to Best.

...however if you lag at 25 emitters like this Pac Man guy it's time to get a new computer

pac man probably had a few unnecessary things running in the background that were hogging all of his RAM or something

25 emitters shouldn't make anyone lag, and if it does, you shouldn't even be able to handle the 6k  bricks this server apparently had.

either that or he uses a box filled with computer parts he found at a junkyard that's powered by a hamster on one of those spinning exercise things.

This is drama, not computer-talk-time

-snip-

you spoiled brats with loving super computers has to respect us who does not have the money to even buy a half decent computer.

I, for one has a computer who costs less than a coke and is about 4-6 years old, i would barely be able to handle about 6k bricks, and on top of that, there is apparently a lot of emitters going on. i hate it when i come to servers where people spam useless emitters everywhere.

I know right? I'm sick of this stuff.

My computer would probably be in the £500 price bracket just over two years ago.
Ran just fine on that server without a hitch.
Conclusion:
pac man runs on a 2005 PC

NOEDIT:
Also, dear people bitching about "waaa too many emmiters"
Turn 'em off. There's graphics settings for a reason.
or just lower the ingame resolution.
