Over here only the actual permanent saving is illegal, not the downloading. Saving it in a cache (or streaming it) is okay.

Movie streaming in the US has very vague laws and isn't illegal at all in lots of countries my guess is Badspot just doesn't care it's not like it's hurting anyone since no one is actually acquiring a free copy of a movie they are merely watching it.

Usually I only stream movies that I own, with the exception of Tommy because it's like 30 years old and I couldn't find a DVD.
