Author Topic: How do I get this girl?  (Read 7875 times)

How about someone enlightens me on how someone of any age can't be in love? Love isn't something to magically aquire at the age of 13, life isn't a video game, you don't gain perks as you level up. Everyone has their own defenition of love, some people love their wife the same way they love their mother, others may love their friends they same way the love their daughter. You can't have one universal definition for love, its just a word someone uses to describe their feelings for something. This young boy can say he loves this girl because he does, in fact, love this girl.

Talk about how only people who have hit puberty know what love is all you want, but you are very wrong my friends, very wrong indeed.

He may love her, but he is not "In love".

"Love is,
taking that dive,
then getting really comfortable and peeing in the pool
And love is,
a real life research,
minus all the stuff that makes research cool
And love is,
a homeless guy,
searching for treasure in the middle of the rain,
and finding a bag of gold coins and slowly finding out they're all filled with chocolate,
and even though he's heartbroken,
he can't complain cuz he was hungry in the first place~"
-Love Is... by Bo Burnham

He may love her, but he is not "In love".
That was certainly a weak argument, did you try reading first?

you're not biologically capable of deciding who your ~true love~ is at that age due to the tiny underdeveloped brain. and in males, all the pubescent hormones get in the way and make it even more dramatic.

Listen up, any relationship before high school YOU WILL REGRET.  Trust me on this.  They may seem like awesome and lovey while its happening but it changes in a flash. Girls will mess up your emotions pal.

Can't wait to see OP's "Contemplating Self Delete" topic in a few weeks.

No, we're not.
Children are too innocent and immature to know what love is, they can feel it but they will never be able to accurately identify it when they are feeling it, especially before maturity which is a time when a lot changes in a person, both physically and psychologically.

Children are not able to fall in love because of the huge number of variables at that point in their life, once you're past 16 or so then your hormones are settling down and your psychological changes are finalizing themselves, only past that point can you truly and accurately begin to feel or understand love

Yeah. He may be "in love" but his feelings aren't real.

so much this
most people seem to overlook that love is a hormonal thing, not some mystical force between two people

Thanks for this.

I am actually pretty smart.

Which goes double for OP since his hormones haven't even kicked it yet!

How ironic.
