More importantly, what weaponset should I use?

The Blockland defaults.
Its the only one that keeps the theme.
Not some real hand reloading nonsense.

T+T and Frog's weaponry.

The TF2 ones and tactical weapons are pretty decent too.

The others in my opinion aren't that good.

Teir+Tactical is the best if you're going for balanced and semi-realistic gameplay.

BF3 is good for super realism, though. Without the ammo limits, of course

Actually, I think T+T has a perfect look. It actually looks like it fits in Blockland.

Yeah, that's one thing I love. Other packs just don't seem to fit sometimes. Gravity Cats don't fit IMO.
