Author Topic: i found an exploit with the trust system  (Read 879 times)

okay, since im bad a writing let me put this into a timeline:
Quote
>friend with trust places a baseplate
>you build a house on it
>your friend, who went afk or something didnt build anything else
>friend ctrl+z's
>your whole house is destroyed
i just tested this. it needs to be fixed.

i hate when that happens!

yes, but if you made it so you couldn't do that, then people with build trust could just come along and place 1x1's on your baseplate.

or don't use the friend's baseplate in the first place. Why would you do that?

Even on RP servers with public bricks, the host wouldn't undo the base structure after its been made. When would this bug apply?

Or just don't let him place the baseplate?

Edit:  Damn you conan.

I believe he's talking about if someone with build trust on one of his servers places a brick on a lot, then if he Ctrl-Z's the person's house is destroyed. Might be wrong here.

or someone you just met and you trust could do the same thing, except intentally.

That would explain it. If I recall Tango hosts cityRP's

*cry*

Abandoning thread now..

But wouldn't the person who tried to Ctrl Z, it not working, because the brick would sense that it has other bricks on it. It would be like trying to hammer the middle of a 1x1 tower.

sounds like a good friend

try it with someone, have them place a baseplate, you place a whole bunch of bricks on it, then have them ctrl z.

How do you think undoing a duplication works? lol
