There is some to say that a government with monetary sovereignty cannot default unless hyperinflation occurs, but I doubt you know what any of what I just said means.

You are making the mistake that people have an incentive to work because they have less and want more. That is not the case. People have an incentive to work because they are motivated. Motivation can be material, emotional, or spiritual. People work because they want to work, not just because they're position dictates it. Further more I think that any system that says you must work or live in poverty is oppressive.
