A lot of the members mostly pay attention to the avatar myself included but I also pay attention to how the person types/acts.

I have a habit of changing my avatar every now and then so people probably look at my name instead

I do get to know people by their avatar, but i mostly look at their name

But yeah, I identify posters by avatar first, it's actually pretty agitating when someone changes their avatar and I have to get used to it all over again.
That's why my avatar will forever be this loading bar, just with various hats on it
