A note from MackTheHunter on where we've been, what's happening, and the future of Avialliance regarding V21So to start off, yes, we are coming back. Avialliance will be back in business sometime mid April, we've got a lot of work to do and a lot to clean up. We're going to work on a better administration management and member management system as well. One thing we'd also like to announce would be the Seasons system for the clan, as well as what's to expect on our fancy little comeback.
1. Work to be done and AdministrationWe've gotta finish the Airport if we're to do anything that shouts dogfights, roleplaying or airshows. It's half finished, half assed and there are a lot of bricks missing so we need to clean up a bit.
As for the administration management, we're working on having three classes for administration:
Captain, the head of all commands in the group,
Traffic Administration, the head of the ATC portion and tower, and lastly being
Head Instructor, the head of flight school and flight training in order to join the clan.
As well, we will be making the joining and members system
much more advanced and much more difficult to get in. We've been loose the last few times of us being here and we'd like to tighten up a bit.
2. Avialliance SeasonsAs you may have noticed (and complained about), Avialliance has been opened, shut down, and re-opened multiple times. This is due to the fact that the management (me, duh) becomes too overwhelmed with school and stress that it gets too complicated to work with. So, what we will be doing is a Seasons system -
Avialliance will only be open and running during the Summer season and the Winter season. Seeing as these are the best and most free times I'll have to work, people will be excited to see the clan again and miss it when it goes.
As of right now - Just because I love you guys so much, I'm going to go ahead and open the clan for the
Spring and Summer seasons - Lasting from around April 10th to September 5th. After this it probably won't happen like that again.
Keep in mind it may not stay this limited. Because I will hopefully be graduating school this summer, I'll have loads of free time so I might just open the clan for the whole year, but if I run into employment the seasons system will stay the same.
3. V21 and what is to come from Avialliance, Blockland's one and only flight groupWe're going to be hosting two dedicated servers - The first being the free flight, where players can practice, roleplay, apply for the group or just fly around for fun. The second will be the official
Avialliance "Deadly Skies" server, which will consist of a 24/7 dogfight, which will have rotating themes such as
futuristic, modern, and vintage. If my bandwidth allows it, these servers will be up as long as possible.
Regarding V21 - This is a bridge that we'd really rather like to cross when we get to it. We've made a huge amount of progress on the airport at Misty Mountain and to see it go will be heartbreaking, but we will hopefully be able to transfer the save and all of it's details before the update comes out. Flying with Slate will probably be difficult and may ruin the aspect of the clan but we will hopefully be able to construct and create our own system to keep the clan fun and the servers as vivid and exciting as they can be.
