Author Topic: Paint.NET Pixelart palette  (Read 4374 times)

Just made a palette made specifically for PixelArt, but for some reason I think it can be used for more too, except it does not feature the fully-saturated original spectral colors.

The usage is grouped to painting (first 2 rows), stone, wood, grass etc.. What's your guys opinions on it?

Note: I have apparently missed adding dirt. edit: forget it, I'll just mix wood as dirt and vice-versa.

This is quite awesome, and I can already see many nice scenes with these. I'm not too good at coloring, though.

Needs more shades of yellow/red

Cheated a bit but still as a main palette it's good for me, kinda.

I am a horrible failure

FROM MEDIOCRE COLOURS

My only criticisms for your palette is that you have strait colours instead of mixed
Here's a visual aide of what I mean

Straight palettes are when you choose a colour and make darker and brighter versions of it
Mixed will blend other colours from dark and light

Here's a small tutorial I whipped up
