If those researchers searched/found a cure sooner, perhaps Edd would have had a better chance of surviving
If research into cures and all had been found sooner pehaps many millions of other lives would've been saved and survived cancer.
I'm upset over the death of Edd too, but it's not quite like he was the only person to ever die from cancer.
