Depends what video you're aiming for. You can get some good scenes from different servers, example, my Boom de Yada video, I went to tons of servers and caught action from tons of places to put together.

When I first joined I couldn't figure out how to make a server for months.

When you're in the main menu, press START SERVER.
Set your stuff, name, map, etc. Then host. Done.
