Author Topic: Blockland forum malware detected?  (Read 877 times)

I was flicking through my posts to a page to find something to look back on and then I got to a particular page, and it said malware was detected. It wasn't an American site or British site.

I wouldn't worry, probably just a false positive.

To be safe whats the website?

I get certificate errors when clicking on Blockland Forum Google links too sometimes.

Maybe its related.

Certificate errors dont have to do with malware, at least not with Blockland. A certificate is just like a thing to prove the site is real....I think. Although if you are going to a site and it doesnt have a certificate I would stay away...although I think we can trust Blockland

Not really what I was insinuating. I was wondering if there was some kind of security problem that was misinterpreted.

Meh, usually virus scanners can be really overcautious.

Yeah, um obviously it's a false positive. oh and btw here is a tip: If you see any blockland forum link that is uncertificated, stay away from them, they can contain viruses/spyware, Like an example, i use AVG.

i use AVG.
._.

yeah thats just cause its avg. ive never had a problem with anything blockland oriented, even random links

I use AVG, I've no threats around here.

In previous posts it could have been anything, even a link to an image which has now become a super-advanced hyper-dimensional trojan virus.

On the other hand, it could be a "false positive", the phrase which makes very little sense.

It'll usually be a link to an image that was hosted on a suspect domain/ip or something.

Which is why I tell people to rehost their damn images.

Ahh, thanks Ephialtes, I was curious about it being something to do with a certain forum member
