jimi does everything better
just like the star spangled banner
or like a rolling stone (by bob dylan again)

I think Bob Dylan's version of Like a Rolling Stone is better. :c

Beatles were overrated.

Yeah. I like their work but I would probably enjoy it a hell of a lot more if they didn't gain most of their fame for saying they did it all out of love and whatnot. I think that theme was a little too forced and got them a lot of their notoriety. A nice way to build a career though.

no matter how many times I hear these 2 songs, they always make me emotional.

If 6 was 9 - Jimi Hendrix
Star Spangled Banner - Jimi Hendrix

I love the Jimi's Star Spangled Banner, it gives me chills, but everyone else I know thinks it's just awful. Their loss.

I want there to be some new massive counter culture. That'd be pretty cool.

same here. :( my dad got to see him perform that at Woodstock. Never been more jealous of anyone in my entire life.

I still think Kieth Richards and Mick Jagger are terrible mediocre song writers. Brian Jones was the man.

Arab Spring was p much that. Now we have Occupy Wallstreet.

Occupy Wallstreet isn't really stuff honestly.

My point exactly...

Unless OCWS has an Arab spring type deal nothing else will happen really. Although it's cool people are actually protesting, in small numbers.

My parents got my granddad a book about rock music, I found the Woodstock page and flipped through and was amazed at how big it was.

You should see Jimi's playing of Purple Haze there, that was the stuff.

Edit: Someone should make a Turntable.fm Channel and we all go there.

Too big to fail. That's the reason nothing will change.

Not a bad idea :o
