I've been starting to notice this more and more in games like CS:S.
I could be innocently talking about things that went on during the round like knife and grenade kills, and suddenly the admins kick me because apparently they turned on alltalk and people want to hear footsteps.
I ask them why they bother keeping it on if only a small majority of people actually need complete silence to play. Everyone is capable of turning off in-game voice, right? They say that it doesn't matter as long as it's a rule and I should stop arguing with authority.
It bothers the forget out of me because there's nothing wrong with arguing. Arguing is literally the only way to communicate conflicting ideas and find a solution, but people loving hate doing it. It's worse for people who hold a position of pseudo-authority because it's their loving job to fix stuff. Nothing gets fixed if nobody ever listens to new ideas and people's opinions on problems with the server THEY MODERATE. It's not even like this was a rare instance of this. It literally goes on at least once a week whenever I play CS:S.
Discuss arguing.
