Secondly, it's not the show that's changing your life; you're doing it. In some cases I guess this could be implied that the show indirectly modified you, but that's not the case. I was implying it wouldn't change anything between you and said person, so why should either of you care? Just don't label yourself and I could seriously care less.

You can't label yourself as African. That point is invalid and I am now disregarding it.
Now, I can understand labelling yourself stating you're of a certain religion (Christianity, Judaism, etc,) but you're labelling yourself from watching a television show. This is something nobody should care about in the slightest, it shouldn't even affect the way you look at the person.
