depends on the person
I do not think anyone watches it for the sole(soul?)-purpose of masturbating to the characters. I know some watch it, enjoy it, and also masturbate to the characters. It's a perk for them, I suppose.

Others, me included, enjoy watching the show but do not masturbate to the characters, or really care for the incredibly mature-media people decide to put these characters in.
