Post your GameMaker Creations here! With the game program from YoYoGames.

I would hope that the OP would have a game of his own before we show off our own stuff.

they've fixed it so much

what, game maker 8.1?

i still find it severely limiting compared to what i've been able to do with löve.

well GM8.1 and gamemaker studio (lovey motherforgeter)

GM is very powerful indeed. Its just a resource hog.

That's funny, because last time I checked it was free.
The full version costs $39.99, please go forget off. Also where did I even say anything about money ????
Wouldn't a game creation tool beng "bloated" be good?  Surely more features should be appreciated.
No. It's better to use a barebones engine instead of using ones that have a stuffload of features that you may or may not use. As Sheath said you have to check constantly for CPU/Ram eating. Game Maker also requires a license where you if you want to put your games on any products like Androids and what not you have to publish through them where they get a "publishers fee" from the profits. Whilst LOVE is just a framework and requires no license, AKA you can sell it, and publish it on anything, AND get all the cash from it.

I think GM Studio removes the who publishers fee thing because Yoyo was manually converting games in co-operation with users up until this point... I'm not entirely sure though.

I remember the old days of gamemaker.

It's a total different thing now.

Meh.

GM5 and GM6 aren't that much different to 7 or 8 apart from under-the-hood features, and a few gimmicks on the side like extensions packaging and syntax colors.

The most radical change is the Yoyo Games bullstuff and the reskin of the website but thats easy to ignore.
