My moms laptop gets a BSoD each time a YouTube video is run. Sort of strange.

I increased my fan speed, but no luck.
It usually eather turns off or BSOD's me.

Alright, sounds like you've got a disk error. Schedule a disk check session and restart your computer. It may take a few hours to complete but it should solve your problem.

pop open the side of your case if you do have a desktop and vacuum it out.

my family does that to all our computers every couple of month and it keeps them nice and quiet and not overheating.

God I imagined like someone using some ridiculously high powered vacuum to clean out their computer and I imagine it like ripping all the circuits out and I would laugh so hard

its your power supply. I used to have this problem. Its not your fan overheating.

Open the side of your case and give it a try. If that fixes it, it am airflow issue. Can try using compressed air to de-dustificate it.

What's funny is, he probably has it sitting flat on his carpet.

...in which case it's his fault.

Buy compressed air. Open case. Blow da air all da places.
