I was on my way to Gibraltar and I saw him floating on a beaten up rowboat. Now he sleeps below decks and guards the gold.

Oh gosh, that is sure a lucky find. I would pay half of my wives for such fine example.

re-did ropes-

hoist-able sails-

Added crew area-

Added cargo area-

Ropes are still bad. Instead of trying to get a complex gradient/curve, stick with simple ones for better effect.

Crew area and cargo is quite cramped for a merchant vessel. Dismissible due to the boat's size.

Masts still need raising; usually crew can't touch the sails from the deck of the ship.
