School science fair. It doesn't need to be anything mind-blowing, just make sure it has some chance of not being taken.

Baking soda volcano or potato battery.

Risk Assessment is a good one, I did that.

What do you mean by to be taken? Like the idea or the actual project? Cause who the forget steals science projects and gets away with it?

Go hit up the chemistry department if you're near a college (call the chair of the department first). We had some high school students come in for superconductors and liquid nitrogen for their science fair project. They're getting hired for the summer too, I'm guessing to bake some superconductors of their own.
