No, of course I don't condone child abuse, but nice try. And actually, my parents have done nothing wrong. Younger childhood includes disciplining wrong-doings, and at this stage of my life I am an incredibly helpful, untroubled teenager that gets good grades and lives a happy and fulfilling life. You don't need to rebel to fulfill your position as a independent thinker.
And of course, if his knee was truly incapable of withstanding the chores he had to do, his mother and father would
most likely allow him to not do them. However, if him disrespecting his mother in an argument that wasn't even his to begin with is any clue as to how his relationship with his mother fairs nowadays, then we can probably assume that he is an angsty teenager with no real respect for the people shelling out close to a quarter of a million dollars through his lifetime to take care of him.
