why do brits get all the shows first >:c
When it's a British show made in Wales shown on the BBC, I think that's a little bit self-explanatory.

Buuut if you're playing at sarcasm then it's gone riiight over me head. ):

Awesome, what does your dad do for the show?

Edit: I watched the video an hour ago but did not read any articles.
Then I saw this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_120321_03/New_Series_New_Details.
Only 6 episodes? ;-;
Including the Christmas Special?! I can't describe my anger and disappointment.

And only 8 episodes the following year.

I knew they were up to no good when they mixed the regular schedule around last year!  :panda:

That is very awesome.
Do you ever get any props from the show? :3
Or have ever been on set?

I've got one life-size cardboard cutout of a weeping angel which I won in a Doctor Who Magazine Competition, which I am dead proud about. :3

just a sontaran ray gun
not much really

and yeah ive been on the set of the old tardis before :D

Tenth Doctor is seriously the best.

Dont have a way to watch them right now, is there any website I can watch DoctorWho for free?

I remember watching this until the 11th doctor, after that they jumped the shark and I lost interest.

bbc iplayer?
iPlayer only shows what has been on recently.
The only Doctor Who episodes on there at the moment is a single re-run.

You might be able to find some episodes perhaps on YouTube or maybe on 4oD, but I wouldn't be sure of those.
Any others would probably be streaming sites.

A Sontaran ray gun is pretty cool. o:

Has your dad directed many other things for the BBC or otherwise?
You don't have to give specifics if you don't want people to know his name.
I'm just curious. Sounds pretty cool having a director dad.

yeah hes done some things for the bbc :o
its cool but he has to go away for long stretches :c
then again when he comes home he stays for quite a while

Jumped the Shark? How so?

Jumped the Shark? How so?
I don't know what he means by Jumped the Shark, but I personally found the change from 10th to 11th Doctor to be very awkward.

For the first couple of episodes Matt Smith had trouble finding his own twist on the character, I found.
He half-played it as Tennant and then played it more as the style he has now.

And that style is very childish and light-hearted.
Which to be honest, isn't very Doctor Who-ey at all.
Tennant had a great and fun play to the Doctor, but he was capable of some great intense moments.
His final part was really touching, in my opinion.
Matt Smith has this childish take to it that for me, seems difficult for him to ever play something very seriously.

I don't think I'll ever see him in such a saddened state as Ecclestone and Tennant played when they were emotionally hurt.
I don't think I'll ever see him be truly distraught at the death of a species or of the concept of a sacrifice of himself to save his loved ones.

I've come to enjoy Smith's portrayal, but I don't think he's quite as good as Ecclestone and Tennant were.
Nor as lovey. :(

i'm a docter..
doceter who?
indeed..

everybody knows that doctor #4 is the best
