3D, motion control, and virtual reality will never catch on.

Honestly what the hell is wrong with just sitting down with a control.

Y'all gotta make this stuff loving complicated
AMEN HALLALUIA

racing sims will probably be more popular and maybe even take over :o
I don't think there will ever really be a most popular genre.

Exactly.
Motion Control wont catch on because;
1) Gamers are lazy. We dont want to have to jump around.
2) The games will always lack in graphics

Though, as I said, VR might catch on if it works. I remember a cartoon I watched, where these people put on helmets and entered a VR world. That, could catch on if it required no effort.

With the current trend of pc developers turning there backs on the pc to get more money by turning to the market will make console's dominate for a long time. Ironically these console games are coded on a pc or macontosh. I can also see indie devs and small companies like Valve rule over the pc gaming market. As for consoles the controller will be part of consoles for a few more years I assume before technology like the kinect takes over.

The good thing about motion control is that you atleast get some form of a work out and you aren't wearing your thumbs out with joy sticks.

virtual reality will, the rest wont

Maybe the next-gen consoles will feature 3D for some of their games.

Like the 3DS?

I'd play the stuff outta The World

forget yeah.

VR will catch on due to the fact that more and more people want things to be more realistic

Like the 3DS?
...Oh.
Forgot about that.
But perhaps traditional glasses and red-and-blue-or-whatever-the-hell-they're-using-now-I-never-see-3D-movies-anyway kind of 3D.

i FEAR the future of gaming would have been the way of the wii and kinect.

but as that bullstuff isnt succeeding, i have hope for the future.

The glasses are no longer red and blue, they're the kind they used to have at the eye doctor.
They're awesome as forget, I saw Journey to the Mysterious Island in Imax 3D, awesome as hell.

also controllers might get a pressure point system so the hands on the screen would be in the same place as the controller

The 3DS doesn't require glasses, so perhaps the consoles will develop this technology.

However, I dislike the 3D from the 3DS.  Hurts my eyes.  So, it's a lousy future product.

I just want a normal game with a normal controller. No virtual reality or motion gaming stuff.

I hear the 3DS only works if you look at it.
I don't want a 3DS, it looks like stuff from what I've guessed from the one my friend has.
