Because now that I am finally going to be away from him all my pent up anger and depression is leaking out, I just kept quiet and did what I was supposed to no matter what but now that I am finally going to have a lot of time away from him I have a lot less self control.

How about you listen to your father and stop being an angsty twat. Who loving cares if you're not religious, just go to the loving church. It's not going to kill you, and obviously it's very important to the rest of your family. They want you to partake in a family event and you're too stuck up and selfish to do it.
