I'm not necessarily saying once you're an admin or something just give up or turn it down. Once you're an admin you have responsibilities that have a higher priority than role-playing. After that it's not fun and games anymore. I'm thinking some of you see it as some sort of veteran and maturity badge than an actual administrative role.
What else is there besides moderation and the occasional ban? Because that's very easy and not a bother to me.
(Legitimate question, I know there's more to it)

Moderation is a very broad term

True... I meant like dealing with name change issues, RDMers, bad RPers... The usual problems in the server.

That is stressful.
Like I said, you don't know what it's like until you've tried it, then you'll understand (don't say "let me try it then" though).

You guys seem to act like it's a medal or a trophy.
It's actually a duty and responsibility that you have to undertake.

It's a job.

What about those who prefer putting the experience of others in front of theirs?

Ugh my internet is acting up and my computer won't let me start blockland. D:

Being an admin and creating events and doing things that normal players can't do, so as to provide for a better experience to everyone, might outweigh the burdens... This is why I'm asking what the other responsibilities are. I've been (super) admin on a serious RP before (and many other servers). It's not heavy for me. I just feel like there's more to Bluzone administrating than moderating the server... (And obviously our behavior outside it and all that stuff)
If not, I think being an administrator would actually be worth it.

Sorry if what I said makes me seem roostery, but I can handle these things pretty well. I did it on a full server with just two admins (Gunner and I). I know Bluzone's more intense, and I don't wanna say I'm ready for anything, I'm just saying. I think I can do it without too much stress.

I am fully aware of what it takes to moderate a serious server. I used to run a TT-RPG occasionally and it was stressful helping the new, watching over the action of others, trying to get stuff done, explaining rules, traits, perks and such stuff. As long as I played with veterans I actually could get stuff done but with people new to the concept it was an unpleasent time to be the creator of it, having basicly every trait in mind and being able to tell what it does and where it's limits are. Administration is a bitch, because you rarely can get anything done. I don't see admin on Bluzone as some medal. I know that if I would be chosen that would be a huge honor for me, but right in this moment, there's so much roleplay I want to get done and that I enjoy, I ultimately doubt I would accept it.

You have to monitor everything said, you have to manage events, you have to make sure nothing is broken, you have to keep the players AND admins in line, you have to negotiate with other players, you have to manage the minigame and the hassle of starting the server up and you have to ban rulebreakers.

Plus you have the fact that banned users might retaliate in drama.

You have to do this all at the same time, constantly from start to finish.

What about those who prefer putting the experience of others in front of theirs?

This is why most people who are given the role of an admin have been on the server for a while and somewhat have gotten the "role-play" out of their system. Admins are usually ready to put their role-playing behind them and put everyone else at the top along with their responsibilities.

In my previous posts I was referring to the average role-player and others.

You guys (the Bluzone administrators) are acting like no one else has ever been an admin before. Bluzone is more serious than most servers, yes... But that doesn't mean no one else knows what it's like. You're saying that being an admin sucks and it's not an honor to be one, but why did you agree to the role? Let's face it, no one would become an admin of their favorite server if it meant they would have a lot less fun. I think that the benefits do outweigh the burdens.

Probably the most stressful part of being an admin is the drama.
When this server gets drama'd you better be loving ready to jump in and defend it.
Then other banned users come in and bash the server and criticize the admins and everything.

Fun stuff.

I feel that more regular admins should be added as well as some moderators
