Author Topic: Zombies in the Bluzone** [[CLOSING]]  (Read 584771 times)

There is a reason why the sewer base door is now opened permanently.

Yeah, Kniaz admitted that the passworded door was a bad idea.

Fortunately someone with good arguement skills is on my side for once. Sorry, I'm just terrible at making points. Thanks Capt'n

Bah, not that good myself, its just that I like vengeance, but Marley doesn't.

We are not fighting, merely discussing Zombies in the Bluzone.

Well I will just go through the pages again to see... Oh, warfare.

There was also the sewer base for a while. I don't think its not okay for people to 'claim' building. But making it imposable to get in is a little over the top. VB is open, no password needed and there are way to get around every blocked door. Its quite nice. If someone was talking to someone, or spending the night somewhere, it makes sense to point guns and wonder why people are 'visiting'.

Yes there was, and it was an awful idea. That's why the locked door was removed. I'm fine with people saying someplace is their group's base of operations, but we have people in these groups that will player-kill other players who refuse to stay away or leave - which I think is complete bullcrap because people should be able to go anywhere and not risk being player-killed by another group of cowards.

People are going to point guns. Its going to happen. It doesn't make them bad people, it just makes others view them a little more different, and want to stay away from them, and then tell others to stay away also, which is totally okay.

No, it doesn't make them bad people. It makes them bad role-players and gives other people a bad experience. Like I said, people shouldn't have the risk of getting player-killed or mortally wounded by another player because they don't want them in an area. There are other ways to approach the situation.

If you found someone in your home just sitting there, on your couch watching TV or whatever, wouldn't you ask them to leave? If they said no, maybe call the cops? Cops don't exist in Bluzone, they're long gone. That's why we use guns

That was then and this is now. And by "now" I mean the zombie apocalypse. No one owns anything, you're just defending an area so you can discuss your groups little schemes and crap. Sure it may be "part of your character" to block off an area to other role-players, but you have to keep in mind there are other people looking for a good role-play experience.

If I was new to the server and some guy threatened to kill my character, or did kill my character because I was exploring an area - I don't think I would take too kindly to this server. By blocking off an area to other people that aren't in your group, you're limiting the server for other people.

Which is why we clearly ask beforehand "Could you leave? This is our home, and we don't like strangers wandering about".

Its realistic to have people point guns at you if you are in their space. Its part of the RP, and if they want to explore, wait until the occupying group has left.

If they don't want to be killed, don't do outrageously stupid stuff. Walking in on someones 'home', especially  armed, is dumb. I'm going to point my gun at someone who is barging on in a conversation, or just where I sleep. We have enemies you know.

Okay, you're not killing anyone - but I still think it's unfair that you're cutting off an entire building or whatever from everyone else. It might as well not exist if the only people that can see it are the ones in the group.

It's an open and free role-play world.

Do understand I am talking about more experienced players. I have been trying to help newbies along and enjoy themselves. Newbies and regulars are two totally different playing fields.

That's like saying anyone is allowed in the staff room of a building

That's like saying anyone is allowed in the staff room of a building

forget it, We'll just make another group twice the size of Vengeance and permakel dem.

Where are you getting the idea that those type of rules and limitations apply anymore?

The Bluzone used to be open to anyone who joined, but now we have groups cutting areas off from the public. Sure you you can go in when the group leaves, but if they find out you were in there - or walk in on you exploring they're going to flip stuff because they think they own the place and think you're trespassing.

It's not so much a realistic role-play that matters, it's the experience that others will have - or should I say, won't get.

Do what you want, but I still think it's ridiculous.

Your really not helping this discussion.

1. We don't have the players to do that, nor would they all unify.
2. Only SA (Kniaz has the final call) can deem a player PK'd, Vengeance has not PK'd anyone.
