This is a very good time to point out that flying battery is actually a very barren level and i've never played it.

Edit: Or maybe he's referring to the Sonic Generations version of Sky Sanctuary, which is a bad idea because it actually does not show exact resemblance to the original level.

the ghosts weren't actually the most annoying part
it was also that...

1. SANDopolis act 2 was the only level in sonic and knuckles to have WATER
2. that goddamned maze
3. those goddamned traps
4. that goddamn time limit

all of these got me at least 10 times when i first played this game.
second time they got me a little less but still a lot.

It's mainly about walkthroughs through every Sonic level in the Mega Drive series, but you can also find maps of every act. I will start by linking to the map for Sandopolis act 2 to prove to Yosher there's no water.

As a kid, whenever I heard the breath countdown timer, I reset the game.
The breath timer is so much more intense than the jaws theme, which it really sounds like.
