I'm planning on selling my old computer.

I want to sell my old laptop, but I want to clear all the stuff off it. Should I do a disk wipe, or does that also delete the operating system? All I'm trying to do is get all the stuff I've put on there off of it, and leave it as though it was brand new.

I think all Computer Manufacturers offer it. But not sure. My Gateway had that option.

can you do a factory reset or is your laptop to old to have the software

I typed in "factory reset" in the search bar on my computer from the start menu, and it loaded up system recovery.

hm, the factory reset im thinking of resets the computer to factory conditions, of course my laptop is a lot newer than yours so if i were you i would research the system recovery.

Did it come with a Boot Disc?

Insert OS disk > Reboot > Delete Partition > Format > Install
