go for the Peavey. Fender isnt that good for AMPs. me and Ian have some experience with them.
the Peavey clearly has more settings and costs less anyway.
as for suggestions, my Crate amp my brother got USED in 2001 or 2002 still works great and we use it in band practice. it's in near perfect condition other than 2 missing knobs but they arent very necessary considering the amp sounds perfect

gain, low, mid, and high are some vital settings you should always look for in an amp to get that good sound.
for some tips to get a nice clean yet strong distortion sound, turn the level/volume all the way down, turn the gain all the way up, and turn up the volume from there, and turn the high all the way up and mid all the way down.
