I'm learning how to drive a manual. Tips please.
Btw its a '93 Honda Civic 5 speed.

My drunken dad tried to teach me how to at 2:30am because he didn't want to drive home.. I killed the car twice so he drove.

drink a bottle of rum before operating any vehicle

Step on the gas now turn to the right into a building

when you first start off its hard on a manual with the clutch, so release it slowly and let it ride the car forward and get a tad of momentum then boom you're moving and didnt stall.

bad for the clutch tho

Driving isnt hard at all.
I learned by sitting shotgun my entire life.

My sister always rode shot gun -_- she's 18 and still doesn't know anything about driving lol.

I think I might have done it to fast when I first tried. Was that my problem?

yes, if you release the clutch and dont have any momentum the engine stalls.

you need to find the balance between when you raise the clutch and push down on the accelerator

That pisses me off.
People who are 18+ and cant loving drive.
I dont are if you cant afford a car, thats fine, but if you're old enough to live on your own, you should be able to drive.

But you have to take into account that not everyone can drive a car like others. For example, your line of work is 10 miles away and the only way to get there is via car, however you have bad eye coordination.

She won't even read the manual because she claims its all "common sense" she pisses me off at times as well.

We get used cars btw.

Damn now I get what I did wrong! I would take right off the clutch and hit the gas and i'm not for sure if it was in the right gear.

Get an automatic, she won't even learn hao2ridingmower

-snip-

yeah the clutch is a pain but if you learn how to drive the manual it's pretty fun.

also pretty sure my dad just blew out his transmission on his deasel workhorse of a car

we tried towing our yacht up the driveway backwards and well the car nearly fell down the hill because of how heavy it is.

first step in pro driving

don't crash

then you have to

FLOOR IT

turn the key to start the engine.
