i'm getting a new computer probably for graduation this year, and i need some advice as to where to get it

right now i'm leaning towards alienware

but i want your opinion!

Alienware, CyberpowerPC's, or some other one, tell me forums!

discuss as to why you picked your answer

I built my own because it's cheap and I can guarantee it's upgradeable.

i need my own topic because i'm sure my post will be overlooked

also i really was planning on a customized computer to my liking, does that count as 'building' my own computer?

i really would prefer not building my own from different parts

Alienware is totally up to you!

all I see in it is a bunch of stuffty lights lighting up the computer that attracts dumbass'.

all you should aim for is a good graphics card{if you don't have one already} and a decent computer.

You could also just look at the pricing section, and get whatever is best for your price range. It's pretty simple, higher price = better.

also yes that is what i always say.  i'm allowed to get about a $1500 -$2000 computer w/ high graphics card.  which is the best out right now?  i know its a Nvidia GeForce one.

I found you an amazing computer

I found you an amazing computer

wut

but what is better

Dual 3GB DDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 7950
1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 580

i think AMD radeon

i'd go with an aser, simply because they are cheaper and they make their own parts.

Shut up you god-awful moron.

Anyway, that's a pretty good thing because desktops at that range can run pretty much anything maxed out. If you're looking for a laptop, it would still be decent at that price, but I would recommend a desktop because it will last you longer, and run games much faster.

So this is probably what you'll be looking at.
$1500

Complete rebuild, with extremely high quality parts.

That's without the monitor, and an OS though. With the extra $500 left over, you could get a decent monitor, or even two monitors because I'm sure the GPU supports it.

extrude, i think you beat me.

I'm pretty sure the AMD card is better, based on the fact that I've never heard of the 7900 series.

I have no idea, if that means two GPUs then it's probably much better considering that it's better / equal to begin with. I recommend posting in the thread still.
