Yes. It's that time of the year when I used to go BlockoWorld mode with iEvent. Thing is, there is no iEvent any longer.
I did mention that it would be in, "space" in a interview with sirherg1. That's when I never thought iEvent would shut down in the next few months when we decided that.
I also mentioned that Makanix would be doing it this year. I talked to him a few days ago and he said, he isn't.
So surburb and I talked about doing it, and he agreed to help me out. We're starting to brainstorm on the server itself, the days, and booths.
We're going to try some new things this year, and we're going to list them here.

As I mentioned in the introduction, this is the time we would do updates in the iEvent thread. We are not using, "sponsors" or the clan who would host it. We kept it iEvent for awhile, but now we're going to a Indie style for the project.
After all, if we just posted BlockoWorld without this, it would be out of the blue, and people wouldn't know when it is.
Will your power go out again?
What we are planning is to host the server with surburb, the hoster of the
Prison Escape. He promises that if anything goes wrong with the server this time, it's his fault.
We like to apparently predict bad storms and other events, so I think I have an idea on how we are picking dates. But that will be later on.
What's the changes?
LONG PART GOGOGO
- First off, we are not doing this a week long. Overkill. 48 hours is enough for the event to be up. If we decide, we will make it 3 or 4 days.
- Speaking of the server, we did mention that surburb is hosting the server. It depends if we go with keonesan's server (he is in progress of building a rack) or not. Also, since surburb is hosting off of a second, dedicated PC, it will be more stabilized than last year.
- No clan sponsor (host). This will be ran by a staff this year, which I'll add in the next post with the new video system.
- Remember the BlockoWorld 2011 videos? We're doing this is a more updated, VLOG fashion. We'll post more info in the second post.
- Later in, I'll try making a public survey (not the poll here) and see how many people are going on vacation. Vacation is the number one reason I cannot just pull a date out of my ass. I'll post it whenever the time is closer to it.
- Booths will be dealt differently this year. We had a complaint that all the booths were un-original, bland, or just stuffty in general. I am introducing, Quality Control. Quality Control will be part of a staff checking booths, making sure they aren't bland or what ever. After all, you could win an award for being the best booth this year.
- (Confirmed on 4/20) We always had a request for this: Awards. What I was thinking soon is having an awards system for certian things, like best booth, best clan, performance, etc.
- (Confirmed on 4/20) If possible, we will have a big space for a stage setup for concerts. I had request from some others to bring this into it. I have no idea if this will even make it into BlockoWorld. UPDATE (5/12): The auditorium is open for anyone's use if they sign up for it.
- The convention center will not be stripped down on the next day or during the convention.
