Hes an Evil sadistic Necromancer who uses a Spell to make one of his Ancestors resemble him and become so Interested in Joseph that they Raise Joseph from the dead in the Event that he Dies. Wikipedia explains it better than I do.

Considering you Trying to read that book, your going to want to Not do it. Its worded like its a College Textbook, and your going to have a Hard time reading it due to your Poor Grammar skills, no offense intended.
