Vinyl usually has a higher audio quality than .MP3. I doesn't have stuff on FLACC though.

there are plenty of lossless formats
MP3 is entirely horrible, compared to any of them
FLAC is great though
it's free, and also rather amazing for a free thing

My dad has old records from the 60's and 70's and the cracks n stuff makes the music sound better in sorts.
