My laptop won't connect to my schools wifi right

So, this is what happens on my ipod, basically when you join my schools wifi network you join fine but don't have Internet access, you need to open safari and that is when a web page opens asking for a user name and pass (you school computer profile pass) this works on my iPod. My laptop doesn't however, when I join it says I have no Internet access, when I open up my browser it doesn't take me to the login page, I've tried entering the pages URL but that doesn't work either. Any ideas?

I know my mom got one of those mifis and she said it was like 80$ a month or something, and it turned out the mifi didn't even work..
..which reminds me, i need to tell her to go return it for a new one ;~;
But yeah, with the infin data, it might.

Try with a new WIFI Adapter and see if it works.
Or try another broswer and see if it worked.
All those steps worked for me
