As a suggestion, go straight from refined draft to vector art. You really don't need autocad to do the boxes as if you're using a decent vector program it should have alignment and size functions.

It might be a little harder, but it will certainly increase the speed of work without sacrificing that much quality. I really don't see anybody griping about a 3 pixel misalignment in the boxes.

the main problem is not my drawing in vectors, but the lack of precision of my ability with a ruler. i have some OCD about that. :B

So just use the vector program?

inkscape. this was my first time using it.

not hip and edgy enough 10/10

god dammit I can't draw as well

but that's probably the common OCD-based artist problem called "my stuff SUCKS compared even to a mediocre doodle"
