I strongly dislike most rap and hip hop, mostly because of the lyrics. Some of the beats and rhythms  aren't that bad, but once they start the lyrics I always feel like they've ruined the song.

This.

I love hip hop, it's that type of genre that can't exactly be pinpointed to a certain sound and it relaxes me. I think an artist, whom has passed away already, Nujabes, defined hip hop. I also enjoy other of the older ones, like Fatboy Slim. But if you're talking about Rap (hip hop=/=rap most of the time), I'm more down toned, I guess Substantial is one of my favorites (it annoys me sometimes when he says he isn't rapping though), along with Funky DL, Apani B, De La Soul, and all those other ones. Something I'd like to mention as that most people, who hate rap for their lyrics, are bound to use such terms on a daily basis. Hey hey, don't forget to put the originator, Dr. Dre!

hip-hop is not rap
where did you get this insane idea

Jesus loving Christ, this isn't music at all.

neither is dropping a techno disc on the floor and making it scratch itself so it makes incomprehensible sounds that are loud and obnoxious
oh sorry i meant dubstep  :cookieMonster:

Sorry for that, my mistake, but I actually don't notice the difference between rap and hip hop music when I hear it.
Anyway, I changed the title of the topic.

On another note, I was checking out De La Soul and noticed that my dad has a CD of his.

Dr Dre and Eminem are the only rappers I'll listen to.

Well, then again, I occasionally listen to Ludacris.

I loving hate dubstep, too

Why do so many people think Eminem is underrated? He's like the most well known rapper in the world.

How is Eminem the most underrated rapper? So far of course.

I loving hate dubstep, too
I never said you liked it. You need to calm down.
To become someone who likes to display a dislike for something, perhaps give a reason!
