Author Topic: Kid gets detention for using Firefox?  (Read 7376 times)

Excuse me?

This kid is one I'm always having trouble with. He's one of the students who's always looking for ways to annoy the forget out of me. He also actually manages to lie his way out of every teacher's conversation.
There's one of these starfishs in my computer class.

He loving sings the songs he is listening to in this high pitched whiney voice, never does any work at all, constantly screams at people for no reason and repeatedly damages the computers and tools by swinging them around like an idiot. He never gets in trouble for some god dam reason.

My school is technophobic. I can't bring a kindle to school even if it has the books I'm reading in class on it. They block so much stuff they periodically manage to block things such as their own homepage, google and bing. Yet encyclopedia dramatica is totally free to go to. They block the use of any exe file or something they don't allow task manager so if something freezes you cant do anything, they block command prompt even in my computer class so we cant use it.

Chrome is Safari++ which is Konqueror++.

I was extremely pissed. The kid got off scot-free.

starfish.

why does every old person pronounce it 'foxfire' and not 'firefox'
My mom pronounces it "foxfire" half of the fire and "firefox" the other half.

My dad pronounces it "firefox" all the time though. Makes sense since he fixes computers and stuff

It's funny because Firefox is already installed on our schools computers.

My computer teacher thinks that if you change the computer background it could wipe out the whole computer deleting everything.

My parents and my grandparents do the same thing. :I

when I was crazy about Roblox my mom used to call Roblox 'blooxrob' I mean seriously what the forget

my neighbor is basically a 20 year old who knows jack stuff about computers, but he thinks he's the einstein of loving computers, i seriously want to toss him down a flight of stairs

My computer teacher thinks that if you change the computer background it could wipe out the whole computer deleting everything.

The teachers are responsible for those computers and they're not allowed to make changes to them.

If you make changes to them, and some starfish in management finds out, the teacher will be the one who gets reprimanded.

Wow Ironically I installed chrome on the teacher's computer and got extra credit on computer class.

Ha.

this makes me believe even more that most 'computer teachers' actually don't know bugger all about computers other than being able to save and open files with microsoft office programs
