Author Topic: I'm failing French.  (Read 2448 times)

Turns out I'm failing French and now I have to do lots of revision or I'll have to redo the entire year.
My French teacher keeps bitching about it and bothering me every ten seconds.
Only reason I'm failing is because the teachers are useless.
He even has to look up words and phrases because he doesn't know them.

Learning different languages is difficult for me. But in your situation, it's the teacher.
He sounds like a n00b

It's the teacher's fault he's not bilingual.

Fail teacher is fail.
I don't take any foreign language classes so I don't know how difficult they are, I just know they suck...

Also I don't think i'd be able to use another language because there are some words I don't/can't even pronounce right such has the word "months"

But yea good luck getting that grade up so you don't repeat.

I never said that it wasn't difficult for me.
I was learning okay in the higher set, but they moved onto something I couldn't understand.
So I was moved into the lower set. I understood stuff, but then the same thing happened.

I've been "learning" Russian for years now and I still suck at even forming a simple sentence without having a ton of mistakes in every word. Not to mention I don't understand almost anything and I just use logic to translate it when I see some word I recognize. Nevertheless being able to read Cyrillic is pretty useful.
Was really close to failing it in last school, but now in this school it's pretty doable again.
Heh, at least I get to write Russian on my CV. :)

I like how in most cases when someone is failing a class it's always someone else's fault.

ah to hell with French.
I don't like it.
I want to learn German, Swedish, Welsh and Russian

The only welsh word I know is Cymru which translates into Wales

I failed last year because of french, But I was allowed to drop french later that year because of my dyslexia so it wouldn't count on my raport card but it was to late so I am doing the same year again :c

on my previous school i failed french because my handicapped teacher never gave us any translations of whatever she said, and if you talked dutch even once she'd just say "arrête" and back then i had no idea what that even meant.

she gave us a lot of tests, made us do useless things and never gave us any other clue about what she was saying, apart from some sort of creepy sign language.
