You go for the environment and atmosphere. You must have never been to a concert to realize that listening to music through a pair of headphones (especially in such a stuffty quality like an mp3), it sounds completely different. Your statement literally made you look like an idiot.

I don't think many people go to large concerts for sound quality. Sure, an auditorium with good acoustics and a properly designed sound system can sound great, but a large outdoor concert with a bunch of noisy people can sound like crap.

No, there's definitively people on ecstacy. It's an electronica show. It's bound to happen. Just because bringing drugs into the show is against the rules, doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

Actually, a girl in 2010 overdosed on ecstasy, which is why it moved to Las Vegas. Also, see last page. Robo_Noob posted the image of an MDMA molecule, MDMA is the active ingredient in ecstasy. It is a rave. Just a huge one.

The last large concert I went to was the blink-182 reunion tour a few years ago. It was loud an distorted--it had to be so they could fill a large outdoor amphitheater with sound. Of course being a rock concert, loudness and distortion wasn't that big of a deal, most people went to the concert to get drunk and crowdsurf anyways.

I've been to a few jazz concerts in concert halls for school, and most of them did sound really good, but they weren't outdoors. The venue didn't have a stuffty PA system, and because they didn't have to amplify too much there wasn't as much distortion.
